What is E waste and why is it a problem?

E-waste is a large list of different chemicals that are very harmful to people and the environment. Mercury, lead, beryllium, etc,  are just some of the chemicals that come from many different electronics. When these electronics are not handled correctly during disposal, the chemicals in the products end up in our soil, water, and air. They are not good for the environment or any of earths living organisms.
