Explain the circumstances when a recessive trait will be expressed

The condition when recessive trait is expressed is Homozygous condition. When a trait is recessive, a person should have two copies of a recessive trait (homozygous condition). Recessive allele are denoted by lower case letter.and dominant by upper case. Example: Heterozygous (Ss) and homozygous (ss). To exhibit a recessive trait the offspring must have one recessive allele from both the parents.
