Explain how the biosphere interacts with the atmosphere

The biosphere and the atmosphere are in constant interaction with each other. All the organisms depend on gases for their survival. For example, the organisms take oxygen from the atmosphere to use it in every day life and expel carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere. The opposite of this is done by plants as they use carbon dioxide for the process called photosynthesis and expel oxygen back into the atmosphere. Molecules are constantly shuffled between atmosphere and biosphere. The same goes for nitrogen, phosphorous and carbon. Water from atmosphere falls in the form of rain and is used by biosphere. All of the above processes explains the interaction between biosphere and atmosphere.

The atmosphere usually refers to the gaseous envelope of the earth, where each of the gases has a definite proportion.

The biosphere refers to all the living organisms that exist on earth and their interaction with the environment.

The biosphere and atmosphere are directly in touch with one another. The plants are dependent on the carbon dioxide and other living organisms require oxygen which is directly obtained from the atmosphere, and in return, the plants give out oxygen and other organisms liberates carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere. Apart from these, other valuable elements are also in constant exchange within the two-sphere.

Thus, both of these spheres are directly related to each other.
