Plants need water, oxygen, soil, and solar energy.

Those are the only things that I believe plants need. They need water for food and Solar Energy (basically Vitamin D which you get from the sun) and soil to grow. Obviously they need oxygen to be able to survive.

Light. Plants usually get the light they need from the Sun. Air. Air contains many gases. Water. Plants need water for photosynthesis. Space to Grow. All living things need space.
