Another thing that happens is that certain parts of the body start to slowly shutdown. As you get older you are more likely to get sick easier. This causes your body to use more of its energy to fight off unwanted bacteria. So technically the older you get your eyesight will mostlikely decrease because your body can no longer keep up with everything plus fighting off things since you are more capable of getting sick and trying to support failing organs and other body parts.
