Rainfall and temperature has a great impact on the number of squirrels in Elizabeth Park because squirrels can't tolerate very low temperature. They love warm climate where there is plenty of food available for them while on the other hand, in winter season there is very low temperature and a lot of rainfall occur which squirrels can't tolerate. We know that temperature of Elizabeth Park decrease in winter up to 0 to 6 degree Celsius and more rainfall occurs which make this environment unfavorable for squirrels and that's why decrease in number.
