Growth factors are important for regulating the cell cycle. Insulin-like Growth Factor Deficiency (IGFD) is a condition where a patient does not produce sufficient growth factors, leading to a short stature as well as other growth abnormalities. How would IGFD modify cell-cycle activity to cause limited growth? Too many cells would enter the G0 phase.
