HELP PLS!! Tay-Sachs disease is a rare inherited disorder that progressively destroys nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It is controlled by a recessive allele of gene. Individuals with the disease die at a young age and can’t reach adult hold to marry and bear children.

Your best friend had a younger brother who died of Tay-Sachs disease when he was very young. She told you that her grandmother’s older brother died of the same disease at a very young age and her fathers family also has history of the disease. She is wondering why the disease keeps on affecting her family members when all of them who had the disease died at a very young age and never had children.
