What are the resources/factors that all organisms compete for in their environment? How do adaptations allow an organism to compete "better" for those resources/factors?

Organisms with the best adaptations are the ones who are can compete for the best. They are the ones who survive. Predators, animals that hunt other animals, must compete to find prey. Prey, animals that get eaten by predators, must compete to stay away from predators and to find their own food.

stimulus is a change in the environment that causes an organism to react. the response is the reaction to the stimulus. some examples of stimuli for zebras are drought, to many predators, and bad feeding grounds such as dead grass or plants. zebras respond to stimuli just like all other living organisms
