Difference between direct and indirect effect

Direct effects, as the name suggests, while not manipulated or communicated by a third party, deal with the direct influence of one entity on another. Indirect effects can be described as the influence, mediated or passed on by a third, of one organism or species on another.

the water is warmed up by the sun and then it evaporates into the atmosphere. the sunlight warms the water by its heat. water is then cooled down and condensation takes place. the water then finally returns back to the earth by the process of precipitation in the form of rain or ice.
