koalas are very cool animals they can do so many things. Here are some facts about koalas. Koalas aren't bears they're marsupials.Koalas can be found in southeastern and eastern Australia. They have a verysupportive butt , it sounds weird but it’s true! They're fussy eaters.

   koala bear is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia. It is the only extant representative of the family Phascolarctidae and its closest living relatives are the wombats, which are members of the family Vombatidae. Koalas, however, sleep for part of the night and also sometimes move about in the daytime. They often sleep for up to 18-20 hours each day.  An adult koala eats about 1/2 - 1 kilogram of leaves each night.

Koalas have special physical characteristics that complement their tree-dwelling lifestyle. With two opposable digits, their forepaws are well-adapted to gripping branches and picking eucalyptus leaves, their main form of nourishment. ... In addition, eucalyptus leaves are highly fibrous and poisonous to other animals. koalas feet is something veryy important to them and the way there lifestyle works .

people have even hunted koalas. From the early 1800's until the 1920's, millions of Koalas were hunted and killed for their furs. Many people were upset about this and protested to the government, and eventually the Koala was made a Protected Species in all states by 1937. Today we know that the Koala is not a bear.

An adult koala eats between 200 to 500 grams of leaves each day. Koalas eat mainly eucalyptus leaves (gum leaves). Occasionally they will eat the leaves from some other native Australian trees, and they also use certain trees just for resting in. Koalas live in tall open eucalypt (gum tree) forests.

koala bears can weigh up to only 8.8 – 33 lbs. they aren’t very large creatures but are very neat to watch. they can be very aggressive but if you have no contact with them they are fine , there wild animals so they do just like any other wild animal .
