What is activation energy? How does it relate to enzymes?

ACTIVATION ENERGY is the minimum  known quantity of energy which the reacting substances must contain in order to commence their specified reaction processes...

It relates to ENZYMES because as enzymes are added, the level of activation energy DECREASES...Lowering the activation energy INCREASES the RATE of REACTION, similar to what Enzymes do it the first place!

This means that the reaction will happen and be completed in a quicker amount of time and the amounts of product formed could be MORE!
