Help pleaseNeed to get my grade up Living things sense and respond to stimuli. They also adapt to change in their environment. Read the passage. Then, explain why the snowshoe hares' changing coat color allows the hares to respond to stimuli.
Passage:

Snowshoe hares have fur that changes color in fall and spring. This color change is caused by a genetic trait. In the fall, their fur becomes white, the color of winter snow. In the spring, their fur becomes mostly brown, matching their summertime surroundings. This change is not related to the outside temperature. Instead, it is related to change in the lengths of days and nights. The days get shorter in the fall. They get longer again in the spring. But hares don't all have the same genes. Different individuals change color at different times in fall and spring.
