Briefly describe the interaction among the components of Ecosystem. In four(4) sentences.

The ecosystem comprises of the producers, consumers and decomposers. The basic interaction of the ecosystem include:

Predation, parasitism, competition and herbivory

Predation is the interaction which occurs between the predators and preys. They are consumers and the higher and stronger animals use and eat the lower animals as their source of food e.g a lion and zebra or toad and grasshoppers

Parasitism occurs when an organisms feed on the resources of a host which could be blood or nutrients without necessarily having to kill it.

Competition occurs across all the organisms in the ecosystem. There is always competition for light, space, water and food.

Herbivory is common with herbivores who feed on plants and are known as primary consumers as they obtain their energy straight from the chemicals source of plants.
