How do batteries work?

A. There is a mix of excess positive and excess negative electrons within the battery that move back and forth.

B. There is an excess of negative electrons that combine with positive electrons to form a path for electricity to flow.

C. There is an excess of negative charges at one end and positive electrons at the other end that create a flow in one direction.
