Explanation:

The fungal rhizoids reproduce asexually in the mycelia which produces the sporangia with the haploid spores by mitotic cell division.

Spore production takes place under favorable conditions in the numerous hyphae of the fungi. When these hyphae mate with each others, numerous sporangiospores are produced in the sporangium. These spores are produced through mitotis and are identical to their parents and haploid in nature.

Sexual reproduction in fungal rhizoids takes place when environmental conditions are not favorable for asexual reproduction. This occurs through three stages - plasmogamy, karyogamy, and meiosis.

Rhizoids help to absorb water and other nutrients from the soil through capillary movement.
