The technology would permit the detection of a substance, which could not be determined previously would lead to a situation in which new technology would be most likely result in a change in the prevailing theory regarding the compositions of the cell.

The cells are tremendously small and the humans have not figured out the perfect mechanism of the cells yet. Thus, with the advancement of new technologies, one may find new things, which may change the cell theory entirely.
