Compare and contrast the cell walls of fungi and plants. Both cell walls provide structural support but fungi is made of polysaccharides and chitin and plants are made of cellulose. Both cell walls provide protection but fungi are made of cellulose and plants are made of polysaccharides and chitin. Fungi cell walls are made of lipids and plant cell walls are made of nucleic acids. Fungi cell walls and plant cell walls have structures called hyphae.
