What major benefits do plants and mycorrhizal fungi receive from their symbiotic relationship?

Symbiotic relationship is mutual in which two organisms gain from one another

The mycorrhizal fungi helps plants improve its nutrients and water absorbing capabilities and also provide nitrogen and phosphorous while plants give the fungi carbohydrate which is a product of photosynthesis. Fungi lack chlorophyll and are unable to photosynthesize.
