Transcription is the process by which the RNA is produced from ribonucleotide polymerisation taking DNA as the template.

The DNA is the genetic molecule of the living organisms. This DNA stores the genetic information and passes them to the offsprings by means of reproduction. This DNA has the information about the production of the proteins that is manifested by the central dogma theory.

The enzyme DNA dependent RNA polymerase acts on DNA which brings the ribonucleotides and polymerises them according to the complementary template supplied by DNA.

Here the step of transcription are mentioned where we can see a RNA polymerase producing a part of the RNA.

The protein synthesis stage shown above is called "Initiation".

Explanation:

Initiation is where the preparation of the molecules responsible for the origin of the protein molecule takes place.
