As a soybean breeder, you become interested in genes controlling aphid resistance (A), flower color (P), and plant height (T). You cross a plant that is aphid-resistant, purple-flowered and tall-statured (AAPPTT) with a plant that is aphidsusceptible, white-flowered, short-statured (aapptt). All traits are controlled by dominant gene action. The A, P, and T alleles are dominant.
