The respiratory system enables oxygen to be taken into the body and it ensures the movement of carbon dioxide outside the body.

When we breathe in, our diaphragm moves downwards. Air enters the lungs through the larynx where it is filtered. from there it travels down the trachea, to the bronchi and then to the bronchioles. Alveoli are the air sacs where the exchange of gases takes place between the lungs and the blood. The alveoli pass oxygen into the blood and the blood passes carbon dioxide to the lungs. As we exhale, the diaphragm rises upwards causing the air to flow from the trachea to the larynx and exhalation from the mouth.

prophase: we can observe the chromosomes to coil up and condense. they become visible. nuclear membrane and envelope disintigrate.s

metaphase: chromosomes align at the center, the metaphase plate. spindle fibers attach to centromeres of the sister chromatids. they meet at kinetochores.

anaphase: sister chromatids are pulled towards each opposing centromere, set on different poles.

telophase: chromosomes are now clustered up only on either sides of the cell. nuclear membranes reform, and a new cell wall forms along the cell plate. this will lead to cytokinesis, the process that divides the cell membrane and forms the cell wall.

-this may form deposits of coal, oil, or natural gas (fossil fuels, which increased the atmospheric carbon dioxide)

-fossil fuels store carbon left over from bodies of organisms that died millions of years ago

-they are located in the surface of earth, deep within the earth and beneath the ocean floor."
