Explanation:

According to the Newton’s law of motion, if the object in high mass it requires high force to change its motion. The net force is applied on the object then the velocity of object is constant.  

When the object in motion, the velocity does not change unless the force act on it. Newton kept the first law as to establish the frame of reference. Newton’s law is also referred to law of inertia.
