How is primary succession different from secondary succession

Primary succession is the growth in  that area which was previously uninhabited, unoccupied and with no vegetation before while Secondary succession is the growth in that area which was previously occupied and vegetated and disturbed  by some environmental factors.

Explanation:

The example of Primary succession is the newly created island, bare rock or desert and life starts their seed blown by wind to that place. this is called primary succession which means the growth at area where there was no habitat before .

The example of secondary succession is damage to the area  in form of flood, earthquake, deforestation or can be human made which give rise to new growth and occupation and this process is secondary succession.
