When dna molecules are heated, the two strands at a particular temperature and that temperature is called the dna's melting point. some dna molecules seperate at lower temperature while other dna molecules take more energy to spilt or "melt" and these seperate at higher temperatures. scientists have found that dna stands that have more g-c pairs (rather than a-t pairs) are harder to melt and require more energy to melt. why do you think that is?
