To my understanding, the nucleolus synthesizes dna into rrna, as well as completed proteins are assembled with rrna and sent out to assemble into a ribosome.
my question, is doesnt rrna have to be transcribed by a ribosome first before it becomes a functioning protein that can be a part of a ribosome? i know that is how it works for m and trna, so is rrna different?
