Describe at least three careers in environmental science.

Environmental consultant:

Environmental consultants provide expert assessment and advisory services for their clients on matters pertaining to the management of environmental issues. In doing so, these guys play an integral role in reducing the detrimental impact of industrial, commercial and government initiatives on the environment.

Environmental education officer:

Essentially, people that work in the world of environmental education teach people about the environment and help them to understand the issues facing the natural world. The ultimate aim of this is to help people alter their actions and reduce their detrimental impact on the environment. These guys tend to be employed by government organisations, NGOs and environmental charities.

Environmental engineer:

Environmental engineers use the principles of engineering, soil science, biology, and chemistry to develop solutions to environmental problems. They work to improve recycling, waste disposal, public health, and water and air pollution control.

Environmental manager:

Essentially, these guys are responsible for overseeing the implementation, management and maintenance of initiatives that are designed to address critical environmental issues and improve sustainability.
