The other two arms are important for maintaining the structure of this RNA molecule.

Ribosomal or ribosomal RNA (rRNA): composes the structure of the ribosome, an organelle that is the site of protein synthesis. Each ribosome is made up of two subunits and each of these subunits is made up of about three rRNA molecules and several associated proteins.
