Let’s pretend we are studying camels in the namib desert. there were two possible genotypes for the shape of a camel foot.
1: flat and broad (a large wide foot, with a flat surface area on the bottom)
2: narrow and split (2 toes that were split with space between them)
which of the following best describes what would happen to the frequency of these alleles (traits) over time?

over time, i would expect the frequency of the two genotypes to stay the same because there would be no benefit in having one trait over the other in the desert.

over time, i would expect the frequency of flat and broad feet to increase because this type of foot acts like a snow/sand shoe and would make it easier for the camel to walk on top of the sand.

over time, i would expect the flat and broad gene to disappear because it was a mutation that proved to have no benefit.

over time, i would expect the camels to migrate to the rainforest where they could find more food.
