Fossil fuels are the fuels that are excavated from the deep layers of the earth. These fuels are produce deep layers of earth after millions of years of geological process. These includes coal, petroleum and natural gas. They are the rich source of carbon. When these fuels are burned they liberate carbon dioxide gas. This gas is responsible for increasing the temperature of the atmosphere. Hence, is responsible for the phenomena of global warming.
