When examining cells in the lab, you notice that a particular tissue sample has 45% of the cells in the mitotic phase, how do you explain this observation?

This means that the tissues are most likely from the bone marrow or the epithelium in animals or meristem tissue in plants.  These tissues are constantly renewing themselves hence most cells are in mitosis stage. Tissues that are less likely to have such a high number of cells in the mitotic state are bone, connective, and nerve tissues.

in 2017 the world's primary energy sources consisted of petroleum (34%), coal (28%), natural gas (23%), amounting to an 85% share for fossil fuels in primary energy consumption in the world.[6] non-fossil sources in 2006 included nuclear (8.5%), hydroelectric (6.3%), and others (geothermal, solar, tidal, wind, wood, waste) amounting to 0.9%.[7] world energy consumption was growing at about 2.3% per year. in 2015 about 18% of worldwide consumption was from renewable sources.[8]

evidence and logical support is essential for a scientist to do in order to maintain credibility. this is because no one can believe without any logic and without any evidence.hence a scientist can maintain credibility by proving himself and by answering logically so experiments prove very beneficial. logical hypothesis give conclusion which is acceptable. therefore, there are two main factors to maintain credibility by a scientist is evidence and logical support.
