Photosynthesis is the process by which plants make their own food in the presence of light energy and produces glucose by utilizing carbon dioxide and water.

During the light reactions of photosynthesis, the energy from sunlight is trapped by the chloroplast ( carries chlorophyll, the green pigments in leaves) which utilizes light energy and store it in the form of carbohydrate or sugar.

During the Krebs cycle the stored energy in the form of sugar is broken down into starch and enters mitochondria and produces energy,  ATP.

Thus the energy stored in chloroplast in the form of sugar or carbohydrate.
