Explain five important things that can be determined by studying fossils. !

One thing is the age of the surrounding soil/rock.  By carbon dating the fossil, you can determine the age of the layer of rock, because it will be the same age.  You can also determine where a species used to live, and its environment, based on knowledge of location and your knowledge of the ecosystem back then.  You can also determine weather the animal was a carnivore, herbivore, or omnivore, if you have teeth fossils.  A fifth thing is you can tell when the animal was alive, also by carbon dating. frogs. the lower the ph the higher the acid content. frogs have the highest tolerance in this scenario.

when you breathe in, or inhale, your diaphragm contracts (tightens) and moves downward. this increases the space in your chest cavity, into which your lungs expand. the intercostal muscles between your ribs also enlarge the chest cavity. they contract to pull your rib cage both upward and outward when you inhale.
