Conn disease, also called primary aldosteronism, is characterized by excretion of excessive amounts of aldosterone.
Aldosterone is a hormone secreted by the adrenal gland, specifically in its cortex. It influences the hydroelectrolytic equilibrium by increasing the reabsorption of sodium (and by the way water) and elimination of potassium in the distal convoluted tubule in the kidney.
In Conn's syndrome, there's an increase of aldosterone due to a tumor, carcinoma of hyperplasia, its most important symptom is neuromuscular trouble due to hypokalemia.
