Darwin’s finches evolved on an island. what is the main reason that islands often provide good examples of evolution?

These islands provide the basic essential premise of evolution because they became the selection forces. These selection forces are the environmental barriers that enables and creates the organisms to evolve by adaptation. Since different resources, organisms, and ecosystem exist between the islands these developed the biodiversity amongst the finches as Darwin explains.
