Method 1...Take a drop of water and hard wax on the cloth, then polish your shoes gently. The part you apply wax to first turns white, but soon starts to shine! The water spreads the wax coating and makes the shoe shine. Put water and hard wax on the cloth and polish.

Method 2...

Take a soft brush and apply a small amount of shoe polish around the entire welt of the shoe, like you're brushing your teeth. Disclaimer: don't use shoe polish to brush your teeth. Next, take a cotton cloth (old t-shirts work brilliantly) and use it to apply polish over the rest of the shoe in small circular movements.
