We have discussed the growing popularity of user-generated content and crowd-based projects. Small businesses as well as big companies are using this idea to encourage open innovation and increase consumer engagement through co-creation. Read about how six big companies use crowdsourcing to build their brands.

Write a paper detailing a concept or idea for a project or business plan that uses crowdsourcing to complete the project or run the business. You may use some of the ideas from the projects that you read about. Research your idea for feasibility and implementation.

Your paper should cover the following points:

Give a detailed description of your idea or proposal.
Mention the project’s objective.
Mention the area of expertise the project requires. Does it require ideas from people from a specific field (such as marketing, technology, etc.) or can the general public participate in the project?
Explain how the project uses the power of the crowd.
Explain why your concept works better using crowdsourcing rather than conventional methods.
Use visual aids (graphs, charts, and so on) to explain the concept.
