Who is harmed when people photocopy sheet music or duplicate recorded music without permission?

The artists, songwriters, and composers are denied their income when this happens. Some of them even have to work several days to make up for the time they spend creating music. This discourages their talent. They might even stop attempting to create music in favor of something else that generates income better.
