If a work of art is faithful to our visual experience, it said to be in its approach or style

This is known as representational art. This kind of art can be truly recognized because it follows the same form. It doesn't follow the exact details but gives resemblance to the original. This is the opposite of nonrepresentational and the abstract art.  Some of the examples of representational art are portraits, historical and scenery.
