The region where art was most closely connected with nature and maintaining the natural balance was the Mesoamerica. The Mayas valued the role of nature in their way of life, so they tried to maintain a balance with nature in connection with their life. Probably, it helped them to have a better health and prosperous lives.

Maybe because it was so unique, a form of art, and they could easily store things in it and no one had ever done that before. i’m not sure but that’s what i think : )
