Why is it important for a drawing that has Space and depth to have a Full Range of Values?

Its good to fill in the space with range and values because it makes it more aesthetically pleasing and can be more successful. Range and values refers to light and dark highlights and shadows and the space and depths are the surface area of the paper. it can be full of negative and positive space depends on how big you make your drawing
