The most obvious difference with electronic viewfinders is that just like looking at the LCD screen on the back of your camera, you see a digital representation of the world in front of your camera instead of the actual world that your eye sees. At the end of the day, though, as intelligent as digital cameras are, the human eye can resolve more detail than an LCD screen.
