If anyone has writing advice could you help me out?
"The whirl of the coffee machine buzzed in the dorm kitchen and the clinking of glass mugs together as (character name) pulled one from the cabinet. The blond hums to himself as he slides across the floor, socks aiding in the slippery friction. He opens the fridge and takes out a pitcher of orange juice, twisting before shutting the fridge door with his foot, his upbeat humming carrying on as he pours the juice into the mug. The coffee machine then beeps and (character name) is quick to pull out the canister and pour the warm liquid into the second glass. Placing the juice back into the fridge and the canister into the sink, he takes both mugs into his hands and strides towards one of the dining tables."
I'm not sure if it sounds pleasing to the reader, could you give me tips on how I could be better? Thank you!
