30 Recorded July through August of 1979 at both his home in Essex and the Ranachan Studios in Scotland, Paul rented a 16-track tape recording machine which he took to both locations, completing the album in six weeks, and featuring synthesizers and sequencing as well as rock band instruments and tape manipulation techniques.
