Lewis Wickes Hine was an American sociologist and photographer. Hine used his camera as a tool for social reform. He was a great photographer and he mainly spoke against child labor and their working conditions. In Hine's images, he is allowing for a plane of focus sometimes no deeper than a few inches. Hine soon realized the power that photography had to reveal truth and reality, which made an ever-lasting impact on him.
