Pick one drawing from chapter 4 and one painting from chapter 5 to write about. use your own words - do not quote or paraphrase the book. for each work, write at least 5-6 sentences describing the works, using the vocabulary from the chapter and previous chapters. be sure to talk about the mediums the artists use and what characteristics of the medium lend themselves to the overall form and content of the works (for example: kathe kollwitz’s bold use of expressive charcoal lines to communicate the grief and loss she experienced when creating this self-portrait p.203).
