Give an example that you've seen in your life that is described in one of piaget or erikson's stages.

Erik Erikson developed theory about child development. first stage is trust vs mistrust. i trusted my parents when i was little but distrusted any baby sitter. later i got used to 'em n let me feel comfortable interacting w others.

I have been able to see many of Piaget's stages first-hand. Ever since I was nine years old, I have had nieces and nephews. Watching them grow up is such a beautiful and magical thing. Seeing them try out and test their abilities is such a fascinating time. The stage that I have seen seven of my nieces and nephews go through is Stage Two: The Preoperational Stage. This stage happens when children are from the age of two to seven. During this time, they start use words and describe objects with pictures. One of my favorite things is all the pictures that my nieces and nephews have given to me over the years. In my room, I have a whole wall dedicated to all the "birds" and "cats" and even attempts at drawing "Debwah". At this stage they are also starting to think of things from other people's perpesctives. One of my nieces, Gwenavere- age 4, comes up to me quite frequently and asks me how a certain decision has made me feel and that alone maks me feel so sad (because she's growing up way too fast!!) Honestly, this stage is one of my favorites. I love watching their little minds go a mile a minute while they decide to paint a dog or go outside and play with friends.
