What is the difference between a gesture line and a contour line?

Contour lines describe the shape of an object, and include interior detail. dark and light values placed close together. black in proximity to white creates the greatest value contrast.

Gesture line is drawn quickly and is used to lay in the structure of a form. It describes movement and direction.
