Traditionally, it was prepared by pounding the vegetables in a mortar with a pestle. It was said that this laborious method helps keep the gazpacho cool and avoids the foam.

Its ingredients are pound garlic cloves in a mortar, a little soaked stale bread,  olive oil, and salt, to make a paste. Very ripe tomatoes and vinegar are added. And then refrigerated.
