Social emotional development in children have to do with their experience, expression and management of emotions. It also have to do with their ability to establish positive and rewarding relationships with others. The reasons why children need socio emotional development include the following:
1. It gives them a better understanding of their feelings and the feeling of others.
2. It helps them to establish positive and rewarding relationships with other people.
3. It helps them to get along in life, especially in the area of communication and conflict resolution.
